Am I the one blowing things out of proportion?

This past weekend I was in Nashville running a half-marathon with a group of 5 girlfriends. After kissing my boyfriend (whom I live with) goodbye on Thursday morning, I left for work and didn't see him again until he picked me up at the airport on Sunday morning. On the way home he informs me that he and I are going golfing with one of our mutual friends. Needless to say, after running 13 miles the day before, I wasn't really in the mood for 9 holes in 80 degree heat…the couch, pizza and play-offs were beckoning. He decided he was still going to play. He then proceeds to inform me that later that evening he would be attending a “team dinner” for a co-ed league that we both play in (we're on different teams). I had known about the dinner but not that it had been rescheduled for that evening.

At this point I'm irked that he didn't consult with me about golfing and still decided to go despite having plans that evening AND after having been apart for three days. I'm not an overly needy person but I was honestly looking forward to seeing him when I got back. All that aside, I decide to let it go and wait for the couple hours we'd have between golf and his dinner. I wait…and wait…and wait…and wait (thankfully the Bulls/Celts game was a nice distraction, ha!). At 7:30 I realize he's not coming home before the team dinner (mind you, he left for golf at 1:00). My assumption is that he went somewhere with our friend to watch basketball. I have officially moved beyond irked-dom and landed squarely in “pi$$ed-off land”. I decide I no longer want to sit on the couch alone so I go for a quick jog. When I get back around 8:30 he's still not home. I then hop in the car to run some errands. I return around 9:30 just as he is getting off the phone with one of the girls I was with in Nashville. He had called her because he was worried that I hadn't been answering my phone (left it at home during jogging and errands) and was nowhere to be found. He goes into a spiel about being concerned, calling all my friends, calling my phone, etc. etc. I'm tell him he's blowing things out of proportion and proceed to ignore him until he drops it. Not the most mature behavior, but I was angry and hurt and didn't want to give him the satisfaction of being the wronged one.

I'm mad about several things in this scenario but mostly sad because I really feel like he just didn't want to be around me. He's never made me feel like that before and it's really thrown me for a loop.
