If a so call good friend won't help you out, will you even call her a good friend?

My girlfriend has this so called good friend. One time we went on a trip, my gf asked her to drive us to the airport in the morning. Her extra words are "if you can't find a better candidate, then come back and ask me". She had to work the evening before, but she got off at 10pm. I mean you can't sleep a little bit less to help a friend out. I told my gf that even a taxi driver is a better candidate than her, then we didn't ask her again. I mean what's the point, she doesn't want to do it anyway.
