Is this controlling?

Ive been with my boyfriend for 2 years. There were some rough patches (thought he was cheating, not treating me right, etc).. It has been fine for the past 2 months or so but I think he can be controlling. A bunch of my friends go away to college so I dont see/talk to them for sometimes months at a time.. but when they come back its like theyre my best friends again. He has never met a few of them because theyre busy with work and school.. so he says if he hasn't met them in 2 years, then theyre not my friends. He judges them on their facebook pictures and says he doesn't want me hanging out with them because its not fair I know all of his friends and he doesn't know most of mine. Is this controlling?
