Way different religions...

Okay, well, my boyfriend is a Jehovah's Witness and I am a Southern Baptist Christian. I've always been told that a JW is not a good religion, it's more like a cult and, ironically, I end up falling in love with one. My guy is a wonderful person and I don't doubt that his religion has a lot to do with that. But I do not agree with his religion and will never conform to it. And he with mine, either. He has gone to church with me a couple of times and I have gone with him to his meetings. Most of the time I think that our relationship will thrive and we will be on love for the rest of our lives. But other days I just don't know. The differences we have are very important (at least I think so) such as blood transfusions, holidays, birthdays, i.e. He's even told me that if we have children one day and I want to throw a birthday party for our child that he will not be there. That really hurts me. He also refuses to celebrate Christmas, which is one of my favorite holidays. I've always dreamed of having children one day and waking up on Christmas morning with them and my husband and having a wonderful holiday together. I just hate that I'm so in love with this man but can't share these special times with him! My question is: Do you think that this relationship will work despite our religious differences?
