Is one email a day too much to send to my lover?

My boyfriend and I have a serious relationship. He lives in another state and is a CEO. His job keeps him extremely busy as you could imagine. I usually send him a very supportive message such as how wonderful he is and how much I adore him once a day. He rarely emails me and he calls me a couple times a week. I know he can have over 30 emails a day to answer and I don't expect an answer but are my emails just one more thing for him to read? He is too polite to tell me if I am.
