Would you be upset if this happened to you?

After my sibling told two lies to my father about me and I dealt with years of being direspected by both of them, I made a stand and said that I would no longer put myself in a situation where I would be with them both. I don't want anything to do with my sibling. My father was angry but in the end asked me to bring my family to visit and he would tell my sibling to NOT come by. I said, "No, we can stay elsewhere and meet up or visit. He said , "No, I will tell him. We want to see you and the kids."

However, when we showed up and spent the night , the following morning my sibling showed up. He/she seemed surprised to see me. When my sibling left, I confronted my father about lying to me. He played dumb and said, "I told him not to come by," but he was nervous sounding and abruptly left the house to run an errand. I felt so tricked and betrayed. It took a lot for me to make a stand and say that I would not tolerate his behavior anymore. My father has always gotten angry when I've fought back with my sibling, so I was done. In the end, I abruptly packed up my family and left. We have not spoken since. It's now been almost a year and I've gotten no apologies. I do know they feel this is not there problem with my sibling, but I think they should not have told me what I needed to hear just to get me to visit. That is low in my opinion.
