What should I do? Should I try to persuade him to stay?

I have been dating this man for a little over 1year now. He says I am the best girl ever and that he has never been so well taken care of or doted on. He has had goals from the time that I met him. He plans on leaving the country next year to teach and I knew this but...as time has passed I am falling in love and I don't want him to leave. He knows I love him but he tells me I need to remember that he will leave and that he will not change his goals.
