My ex is going out with my best friend. Should i try and get her back, hurting him, or wait for the breakup?

i still love my ex-girlfriend. we went out for a really long time. I did everything with her. i want her back but my best friend is going out with her. they LOVE eachother. im dying inside. please help me.
