Letting Kids Sleep On Hotel Comforter

Side 1 says... I am very clean with my kids and i don't let them run around in bare feet. I don't let them eat junk food that much. I definitely make them bath every night. And I hate staying in hotels because my husband lets them get away with all that stuff.

I always lysol the toilet with my own spray I bring from home. He lets the kids go before I have the chance to clean. They run around barefoot in the hotel room which is gross. I tell him to think about what kinds of people he sees that make him feel disgusting and to picture them using this room. Doesn't phase him.

But the biggest thing is letting them play on the comforter. I know hotels are required to at least change the sheets but I never see them clean comforters. The idea of some john pay a prostitute for sex on the same comforter my kids are sleeping on grosses me out and even makes me worry they'll contract something. We eventually had a fight about it which ruined our trip. He sould at least back me up.

Side 2 says... I feel if we are staying in a hotel the chances of it being clean are 50-50 regardless of their reputation. I've seen maids. They don't care. They make minimum wage to deal with dirty people. If it were me I'd clean so the surface looks clean but it's definitely not a deep clean.

We aren't rich so we're definitely not staying at the Ritz. But I feel Holiday Inn is as good as we're gonna get in our price range and it looks clean on first inspection so I don't sweat the small stuff.

They have no more chance of getting sick there than they do at school so I try not to think about it and just have a good time. She needs to loosen up.
