No One Wants To Make The Move!

Side 1 says... My fiance' & I have a son together, but we're based in 2 different cities. Whilst he is 100% financially supportive [earns a substantial salary] & my part-time job is flexible enough for me to relocate & operate from anywhere in the country, I feel that as the guy he should be the one to make the move to my city so I can be close to my immediate family.

Is it unfair to expect him to do that?

Neither of us seems to want to compromise & I'm scared if we leave it for too long, our 10 month old son will be the one most affected by the indecision.

Side 2 says... I am tied to the city I currently live in [born and bred] only because of my job. To find another well paying job that I can support my fiance' and son as well as to build a career on is difficult.
I strongly believe that family comes first and I am currently searching for that job that will allow me to make the move.
I really hate missing out on my son and future wife, however, I do feel that my fiance's strong family ties is unfair on me and preventing her from starting a new family with me. This was also one of the reasons that stood in the way when we did live in the same city for approximately 5-6 months until I was forced to move back to my home so as to not lose my job.
I do not like pointing fingers, but this is an "argument". I feel the best compromise is for us both to make moves, ie. she moves to my city temporarily until we can move back to her home city. That way we can always be together.
