Jealous Much?

Side 2
Side 1 says... Before I met my boyfriend of over a year I used to attend Trivia night at a local bar with a friend named Justin. There was nothing between the two of us, just two people who love quiz nights and being competitive. Trivia night stopped for a while and it was finally due back. I made plans to go to trivia night with my boyfriend, a group of people (all genders) from work and Justin. My boyfriend was "pissed" because I was going out with a "good looking and successful guy". I tried to tell him it was not a date, there was nothing between the two of us, there was a whole group of people coming and HE was one of them. Does he have any reason to feel threatened?

Side 2 says... I am the first to admit that I am a sensitive and emotional guy and I know this is part of the reason that our relationship works. When I found out about Trivia Night and the attendees I was upset that my girlfriend didn't see how this would be unsettling to me. I know it is an insecurity issue - but I thought she would understand. Jeremy is a former athlete and has parlayed this into a major position with a sports touring company. He is Jewish as is my girlfriend (I am not) and I felt threatened.
