Side 1 says... Being the new year, my resolution is to lose 25 pounds. I was told to try the Flat Belly Diet, but my friend doesn't believe it works and said just stick to eating healthy, cardio, and some type of ab routine.

I like the idea of the flat belly diet because I get to eat meals plus all these diets have some sort of drink and drinking the Sassy Water - water with sliced lemon, sliced peeled cucumber, grated ginger and mint leaves - wasn't that bad when I tried it.

So is it better to do this or go natural and just do regular exercise?

Side 2 says... 1. The bottom line is you can't spot reduce fat. This diet suggests she'll lose the belly weight. no diet will specifically target a certain body part and get rid of just the fat around it.

2. These diets are called fad diets for a reason. They don't last long and they don't work long term. she may lose weight up early on but she'll gain it back quickly.

3. These diets are for lazy people who don't want to work it off.

I keep telling Danielle to just suck it up, get a gym membership, go do a few spinning classes, try a trainer for awhile, and cut out a guilty pleasure food each month and soon she it will become just like second nature to her.

Stop dreaming. Fads don't work.
