I wouldn't say he is a hoarder. I have brought up the photos with him but not the cards. He says his past is what made him who he is and he gets defensive, accusing me of going through his things. Nothing is hidden, they are in a clear bag on a shelf.

I always thought that when you start a life together there are no secrets. It seems like he doesn't want to share this part of his life. If it is so important to him I would like him to make me understand and be okay with it. He has been divorced for 6 years now.

Yes that might have to be it. I will always think about Seinfeld and the book that got 'flagged' because George brought it into the bathroom to read. ugh

Hehe, yes it's an apartment. My roommate has her own bathroom attached to her room and mine is the only other one.

I love my Keurig! You can also buy the pods at Bed Bath and Beyond and use the 20% off coupons that they always send out. Kohls's too. Grocery stores also carry their own brand, many of which taste great. Since getting my Keurig I only get a Starbucks once a month, if that, whereas I used to go maybe 3 or more times a week.

  • commented on the side Swearing On TV Now OK - WTF?
The only reason cursing and sexual content is becoming more popular is because our culture is allowing it to be. I couldn't believe it when I heard characters say S*** on regular cable TV for the first time. I am an adult but every other word out of my mouth is not a curse word, and I am still embarrassed when something sexual comes on the screen and I'm with my parents. I hear adults curse at restaurants with kids around all the time. It's true you can't shelter them out in public forever, but you can control what they see at home.

If things are this bad now, I can't imagine how de-sensitized the population will be in another 20 years. I'm grateful that my generation at least got to have a childhood.

If you are going to constantly leave trash in the car, then at least leave a grocery bag there so you can put it in one place. Whenever I fill up my gas tank I clean out any loose papers or wrappers I can find. Spilling coke in the car? That has gone too far.
