My guy has female friends that he talks to often and has never met. Is he cheating?

We are both divorced with children. I have male friends that I a have known for many years. He has stated how he is not very comfortable with them calling or stopping by. I put a stop to that because I want our relationship to go further. He has female friends that I have never met and he has not made any advances for me to meet them. I found out that some of the conversations he has with these women are inappropriate. He says it does not mean anything because he is not trying to get with none of them. I have stated many times that I do not want my guy talking that way to no woman. He says he will minimize that. Am I dumb to think he will?
