do i take his word for it.. and go back to him?

Okay well, I've been dating this guy for about 7 months now, and all we do is fight.. he doesn't trust me or anything with other guys and all that jazz.. but i'm inlove with him.
a couple of weeks ago we broke up.. for real this time.
He said he wasnt inlov wtih me at all blah blah blah and two days later he was with another chick.
A couple of days ago he sent me a text messege saying he was sorry and wanted to get back together, and that he was still inlove with me, and didn't mean what he said..
he broke up with the other girl and everything for me.
i want to take him back.. but i'm scared of getting hurt again
i don't know what to do!
any idea's?
