Should I be upset about my boyfriend spending New Years Eve in Vegas with a bunch of other guys?

I'm not so worried about him being in Vegas. I know he's not stupid, and even he is, he's young and it's allowed. My only concern is that it's New Years Eve and everyone says we're supposed to be together on that night. It doesn't seem like a problem now, but everyone is saying I'm going to feel really lonely and bitter when it's actually New Years Eve and I'm partner-less at midnight while everyone around me is with their significant other. Am I naive for not asking him to be with me on that holiday?
