I have a mba, but I'm an actor/filmmaker... until I get the "break", what can I do to maximize my income?

I have a mba and a degree in architecture. But I took the road of acting and filmmaking. While auditioning and pitching, I need to find a way to make great money without compromising my craft. Flexibility is the key. What should I do?
