Does Friday night have to mean go out with your boyfriend?

My boyfriend is always looking to go out with me on Fridays and I'm usually not in the mood to do anything after work. He just wants to go drink and he feels he needs to take me so I won't get mad.

I'd feel bad if I was wrong and he actually does want me to go with him, so I don't know how I should tell him I really would rather not see him til Saturday.
