Should I go to live in the Northern Territory?

I met a guy and went to live with him in The Northern Territory. We lived in a caravan on a cattle station for nearly a year. Then he took up a job 1,500km away in the bush and expects me to keep living in The Northern Territory. I've come back to my place in Perth and he says that he doesn't want to have a long distance relationship and that if I don't go back to The Northern Territory (where I have nowhere to live) then we'll have to break up. He'll be in The Northern Territory for a few months in the wet season but it's so unstable in terms of work to move there for a few months then move back to Perth in the dry season.
