Does the role of a God-Parent include helping to fund pleasure trips?

I was pretty surprised when my God Daughter asked for spending money for a pleasure trip.Obviously if you have a very special relationship with a relative, you could feel comfortable asking for money. In this scenario, there is no relationship except a couple of times when she needed something. I wouldn't want my child to ask anyone for spending money.. not aunt, uncle, cousin, or anyone besides asking a parent or Grand Parent. Am I crazy to think that this request is somewhat out of line?
