I recently became laid off and thinking of starting my own business. Should I do it?

I'm married with two year old twins. My wife has a great job that she enjoys. I have been in the corporate world for over 10 years and I hate it. I'm an entrepreneur at heart and want to follow my passion. However, there is risk as in any start up.
