Husband and I can't agree on discipline. He never corrects the kids so it all falls to me. Then he criticizes.

I told my nine year old daughter that she needed to bring home her spelling book to study or she could not go to the Girl Scout Halloween party. For two days she did not bring the book home. Thus I said no party. She turned on the water works which in turn got my husband in a tizzy. He said I was being to hard on her!! Her grades have started to fall. I felt justified with the punishment. Next my husband got my Dad involved who proceeded to yell at me and tell me what a terrible mother I am and that he would not be coming for Thanksgiving!! Is it me? I'm starting to feel beaten down!
