Who is in a better position?

My boyfriend of 3 1/2 years cheated. I caught him in the bed we shared with another girl. I moved out, its been 6 months, he is still calling and I cant get over him. I am still so hurt that he could do that. Who is in the better position? Is he going to be able to move on easier than I am? This other girl is not in the picture. Im just wondering how someone can do such a thing in the first place. And now Im afraid that I left him, he is going to find a new girlfriend and move on before I can let go of my pain.
