My husband who just lost his job wants to visit his parents who live in another state about 500 miles away.

Our sons are not in school yet and one is in preschool. He wants to take the toddler, but not the other. I fear his mom will be doing all of the parenting and that our boys would not see each other for more than a week. Should he go? Take one child? Take both kids?
