how do you stop a 15 year old from hitting her mother

My 15 year old is constantly abusing me and lashes out and hits me, if she cant get her own way. I have tried talking to her but she blames me for everything even if its trivial. IT dosent heip to ground her take something away.She just walks out and does it anyway. I am powerless to stop. her. Is counselling my only hope.? or are there any ways to at least stop the hitting.
