Side 1 says...
One day while shopping for furniture for our new place I came across this awesome table for the entranceway. I took a picture and sent it to my girlfriend for approval but to my surprise she was totally against the idea. She played the, "well have you thought about the statement it will make in the room" card, and the "if you ever move where could you use it" argument and without saying "No" said NO!

Its true. Jim shared a photo of "the awesome table" and then took me to see it.it wasn't that I was against the table in general, its just that it was very, very colourful (red with squares of colour on the table top). I love colour. And I love red. And I love Jim. My concern was this: our room didn't have any other furniture in it yet and this would be the first piece. Would we have to coordinate around the table with every other piece of furniture (living room and dining room)? And we aren't staying in this house - we are only there for awhile, so I was concerned about where this bright table would go longer term. I didn't say we shouldn't get it. I just thought we should make some choices about the room in general before we rushed out and got a hall table. This happened months ago and I still love Jim as much as he clearly loves this table. I have never been one to stand between a man and a table...
