Rent Is More Important!

Side 1 says... Hello again! My boyfriend wished for us to post a side about another argument we are having.
So here goes.

I have been supporting him for almost three months now. I pay for food, gas, all the bills etc. - save for rent. He has so far been able to barely pay for rent each month to (last time he sold his car and his psp) - so I haven't paid his portion of rent - but I do pay for everything else.

He has finally caught a break and gotten a job, so we are heading towards easier times, but he doesn't get his paycheck until the 12th!

This is a big problem because rent is due no later than the third. If I am 3 days late on my rent, I get evicted. This place is pretty strict..but I guess most places are probably like that.

I have to pay $328, my roommate "J" has to pay $328, and my boyfriend, "Oka" here, should also have to pay his portion $328 each month, since he is living here. (The total rent due each month is $984, and if he does not pay his portion, I would have to pay $656 which I can't afford because of EVERYTHING else I'm paying for).
The problem is this - he finally got a pay check from a "psuedo" job he did a few weeks ago (outside door to door sales that was a big waste of time) that ended up no where - but the first week was training only, and he did get paid for that - a total of $230.00. Before he ever even got that job, he agreed any and all money made by him would go strictly towards rent, and then to helping as much as he could with other bills.

However, when he went to go cash this check at his bank, they told him he had to pay his overdraft before they would cash it. He decided to pay it - $80.00 - without even telling me, and now only has $150.00 to put towards rent which is coming up very soon. I told him that he should have mentioned it to me first - because he should have waited until he got his paycheck on the 12th to take care of that. It's been sitting there for who knows how long in overdraft, and he never cared before (or even knew) but decided it was more important to clear his account, than be able to pay for the place he is living at, apparently.

Side 2 says... So, i finally got a paycheck from my temperary sales job. 230$. me and my girl agreed that as much money as i could should go to rent. rent is 326$ a month. so, i took this paycheck to the bank, the bank that both me and the company share. being without a job for so long, and my bad spending habbits, the account got over-drawn. so, when i went in to cash the check, i was assuming possibly 30 dollars, but in my head, i KNEW that it couldnt have been more than 40. but, i was wrong. 80$. so, i paid that, then got my remaining 150. rent is due in about a week, so yea, thats 180 dollars more that i need. however, with a birthday on friday, and family members already agreeing to send money, i am not worried about it at all.
