My Boyfriend would prefer that I not speak to his friends or have general conversation with them either. Personally, I think that is ridiculous. I have no problem with him having conversations with my firends, as long as they are appropriate in nature.
I think he feels this way because we have mutual friends. I also beleive it is a reflection of his mistrust issues. He , on the other hand, believes his position is common because some of his friends have discussed this with their girlfirends also.
I should not speak to your firends or participate in a conversation that is taking place in my presence?!?!

My girlfriend believes that she must talk to everyone that walks in front of her, I tell her that this is not the world we live in, that you have to address everyone especially my friends.
The point is my company is my company and your friend are your friend being polite is just that being polite.
Its not about trust its about why? Thier no need to have conversation if your friends are coming to see you and my coming to see me
