What do do make out of this?

One of my wifes so call friends , MInd you he just started to talk to her after 30 years, now he call like every other day and talks to her about his problems with women, G/F what ever who is she DR. phill .I want to tell him to crawl back under the rock hes been under for the last 30 years . I said to her whats up with the calls and she said he just a friend and he not my type. Should i really put my foot down or in hes butt. Oh he does not live close by if that means any thing.
