Do I still have to pay spousal support if my wife cheated on me?

My wife had an affair that almost lasted a year. She wanted to make things work, but I filed for divorce. I'm not going to stay with someone who has no respect for me. I can easily find someone who will make me happy and I plan to do so.

Apparently I have to pay spousal support for my soon to be ex so she can continue to live the lifestyle she is accustomed to. I have hired a lawyer, but he hasn't called me back and I want to know what I'm dealing with.
