My wife says that what I did was "disrespectful". Is she right?

I have been interested in trying to "flip" a house for several years. So much so that my wife bought me a book about it. Since then, I have been keeping an eye on home foreclosures in the area. Today, I finally found a house online that looks to me like a good prospect. It is 2 miles away from where we live. Without telling her, I booked an appointment with a realtor to look the house over tomorrow afternoon. I then called my wife and told her that I had booked the appointment. She said that booking the appointment without her knowledge was "disrespectful".
