My boyfriend feels it's ok for him to accept a present for christmas from his ex. She's obviously still into him. The sad thing is she dumped him for someone else, broke his heart, and was absolutely mean to him until he met me. Since then, it's been like her job to try and get him back.
Her gift cost $300 more than mine. This is not a friendly gift. This is something she is using to make him think she still cares. She just causes problems for us and he says it means nothing and she's moved on.
I don't think he should be accepting the gift or talking to her.

Of course I'm accepting the gift! I didn't buy her anything. Aside from it being something I've always wanted, it's $500! Why would I turn down a $500 gift from my heartless ex girlfriend who thinks it might actually make me give a sh*t about her again.
The only thing I had to do was meet with her to get it. It was 10 minutes. I dont' get the problem.
