Her Drinking Buddies

Side 2
Side 1 says... We recently got married (second for both of us) and my wife started a new job. All her new co-workers are heavy drinkers and in their mid 20s. They started inviting her out and I think because she's 42 she thinks it's great these young girls want to hang out with her. So she's been going out every chance she gets, comes home completely drunk, and I've held her hair back at least 3 times in the middle of the night while she throws up in the toilet. She told me she just needs this because of the transition and that we've moved to a new place she needs to find some friends.

I think she needs to find friends her own age and having the same interests we both have. These girls she goes out with are all single and looking for guys. Most are sluts (sorry no other way to put it since they regularly have one night stands).

She just needs to make a choice. Them and nights out or me. She can do lunch with them or something but come on. This is ridiculous. I didn't marry THIS woman and I don't want to be married to THIS woman. I've done this already and this is what led to my divorce. I want a calm life. Not some party harder than life person. Come back to reality. You're 42.

Side 2 says... I am in a new place. I get along with my girlfriends and I want an active social life. What he didn't tell you is I was in an abusive relationship with my first husband and then eventually a single mom. My daughter is grown and in college now and I've always related to younger women because of her.

On top of that he's very religious. He doesn't believe in drinking so much. I don't really drink like he says. I admit I had my fun at first and I did get plenty drunk enough to throw up but that hasn't happened in a while and I've toned it down. I have maybe 2 drinks on a night I go out.

My husband is very different than my first in all good ways. But he has no idea how to cut loose. I just want a little fun now and this is my idea of it. I've earned it and won't let him take it away from me. He can either jump on board and come out with us or have me miserable sitting home watching tv.
