Side 1 says... (sorry, I posted this in "questions" area and intended to put it here.. Im new)

My wife and I aren't obsessed with TV, but we certainly use our television for relaxing. We currently are paying 120 dollars a month for internet and TV, which includes all premium channels (HBO,Showtime, HD, and DVR).

I think it's a great deal and I feel like we're getting our monies worth.

My wife hates paying the bill each month and wants me to get rid of all cable, get an HD antenna, Tivo, and hook up a computer for Hulu.

My argument is that HBO and Showtime programming isn't on Hulu, and sports can't be watched online in a good format. She thinks we need to save the money each month.

We can definitely afford it, my wife just thinks this is an area where we can save. I think we could make cuts other places....

Side 2 says... I don't feel like we really use the extra channels anyway. Right now we are getting the best package you can buy, and besides the on demand HBO series, the shows that we watch regularly are all on basic cable channels (comedy central, bravo, discovery, history, HGTV, etc.) or network TV. Even with all the channels there is still nothing to watch and with Hulu and Netflix for much cheaper (or free) I don't see the point in shelling out all the cash for fancy channels when we don't use them. We hardly have time to watch the shows that we are keeping up with that are on basic cable or network.

Also, I was promised that once football season was over, we would cancel it.
